 225 Protecting Heraza
 Stardate: 51691.2

There is a memorial service for Stadi's sister, Miriana. Kal Orioli, who
knew both of them on Betazed, is there. A holographic recording of Captain
Janeway gives a tribute to her dead Helm Officer. Lyranna leaves without
        saying anything.

The senior officers meeting - minus Lyranna, of course - discusses the
status of the chief medical officer post, the intelligence the psi paramilitaries
have provided about their enemies, and Heraza. The meeting confirms that
Nurse Ferra remains CMO, and, after appropriate checks, that Dr. Marenna
will operate as a civillian auxilliary.

In a series of raids, working on the leads provided via Veltr'a from
the psi paramilitaries, civillian security move against the anti-psi paramilitaries.

Starfleet co-operates with civillian security and Marenna verifies the
psychiatric health of Heraza. She gives her a clean bill.

Security - both Starfleet and civillian - don't think that Heraza needs
an escort. But she strongly disagrees. Petersen and Quayn suggest that
Heraza's memory has been altered, and Dr. Orioli checks her engrams. It
becomes obvious that Heraza's memory has been altered.

Petersen keeps De La Compostella informed.

Heraza is attacked in a wide thoroughfare by a team of two paramilitaries,
one of whom is recognised as Invus. Peterson, Veltr'a and a Vulcan officer
who is expected to be more resistant to psi manipulation. Despite Veltr'a
throwing himself on Heraza as an Andorian shield, Heraza suffers fatal
injuries. Veltr'a slowly recovers from his wounds.

When he regains conscioussness, Veltr'a sends his resignation to Horah-Morash.
