M'Kress: Is your offer still open, Petersen?

House Mauro delivers a number of colonists from a vassal house to New Lhasa. This includes Thelor, an old long-haired Klingon, to advise House K'ral, and additional retainers. Kath'lar is not amused by the competition for K'ral's ears, and by the extra bodies taking up space.

M'Kress commands Petersen and security Ensign M'Benga on a survey of the remains of a previous Tholian war. They take the Runabout USS Tamar to Denova IV.

Petersen requests leave to settle his effects in his cabin. M'Kress asks why, and talks to him privately before she allows him to do so. Petersen confesses to having difficulty adapting to the change from Executive Officer to Head of Operations, which he sees as a demotion.

M'Kress reprimandings Ensign M'Benga for playing music while on-duty. She is irritated by a gaseous anomoly which on close investigation turns out to be well-catalogued unanomalous phenomenon. When she reprimands M'Benga for no good reason, Petersen tries to get M'Kress to say what the problem is, but is rebuffed. He leaves with an unlucky choice of words, saying that if she needs to talk, he is available.

M'Kress is entering Pon Farr. It overwhelms her when she drops a cup, and Petersen invesigates her invective. She throws the object at him. She strikes a console and brings down artificial gravity. She grapples Petersen, as he is calling for help. She asks him "Is your offer still open?".

M'Benga arrives and heads for the weapons locker, but M'Kress barrelling him against the console. Petersen grabs M'Benga's gun, but its initial setting barely affects the woman. M'Kress tries to bite Petersen's cheek. M'Benga turns out to be still conscious, and stuns the pair of them.

I don't think there is a canon answer to whether female Vulcans undergo Pon Farr, but the game material says they do not. However, female Pon Farr is already part of M'Kress' character background.
